Dear Colleagues,

the Faculty and ESU contracts are part of a supplemental funding bill that was before a conference committee to resolve differences in the Senate and House versions over other matters.  AFT’s legislative liaison has let the Union leadership know that this funding bill is now out of conference, has been accepted by the House and Senate and has been signed by the Governor. The next steps are that the funds be released to the UMass system and then to the Dartmouth campus. While we don’t have a timeline for this to happen, campus HR has assured us that they are ready to process the increases to base salary (3.5%, 2.25% and 2.25%) and the retroactive pay associated with these increases, dating back to January 2025. We appreciate the efforts of Human Resources in getting this done in a very short time. We are hopeful, but cannot guarantee, that people will see their salary increase in the June 19 pay period and the retroactive pay in the following July 3 pay period.

A reminder that there will be two further salary increases in the 2024 – 2027 contract period; 2.25% in July 2026 and another 2.25% in January 2027.

In Solidarity!
