Hello all,

as was mentioned at the annual executive meeting earlier this week, there is a meeting at the AFT MA offices in Boston (at 38 Chauncy St.) on Monday May 19 at 3:30 pm with the leaders of the university and colleges affiliated with AFT MA and the American Association of University Professors (AAUP).  The President of Harvard AAUP, Kirsten Weld, will be attending this meeting.

As you are aware, the Harvard AAUP has been part of many of the lawsuits against the federal government and has led the resistance of faculty at their campus.  This meeting will be an informal conversation to learn about their strategy and potential lessons for our work.  It will be an opportunity to raise questions and discuss future collaboration.

The Faculty Federation will cover the cost of a round-trip train ticket to Boston for those who attend this meeting.
