Dear Colleagues,

as you are aware both the Provost (Town Hall on the State of Academic Affairs at UMD, Wednesday, April 30, 2:00 pm Dion 116) and the Chancellor (Spring 2025 Budget Forum, Thursday, May 1, 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, Zoom only) will be hosting events this week.

As has been the case with previous town halls and fora, the Faculty Federation is soliciting questions from members that will be sent to the Chancellor and Provost in the hope of getting answers.  These will also be sent to the membership so that everyone is aware of the questions that have been asked of the Administration.

For questions about academic matters, please send them to Stacey before the end of Tuesday, so we can get them to the Provost Wednesday morning before his presentation.

If you have questions about the campus budget, please send them to Stacey and we will collate them and forward the collection to the Chancellor well before Thursday’s Zoom presentation.

For the Chancellor’s May 1st Town Hall on the budget, which will be a Zoom presentation, the Federation will be hosting a watch party in the Library Grand Reading Room where people can gather to hear which of our questions will be answered.

Union leadership hopes people will be able to participate in the Provost’s forum and that people will be able to make the time to attend the watch party for the Chancellor’s Budget Town Hall. Light snacks and drinks will be provided

In Solidarity!
