PHENOM’s Pizza Pop-up was today – and it was extremely successful at spreading the word about a chapter here at UMASSD. Students, about 120 of them in total, had to scan a QR code to get to PHENOM’s webpage, with optional sign up sheets for those wanting to get more involved or who were interested in future internships and fellowships (we got about 15 names, that is pretty good) in order to get slices of pizza. Then our student fellow, Todd Deslauriers, and I had quick informative convos about PHENOM’s goals and the budget hearing happening today at the State House, etc. We gave out every single slice in about 20 minutes during the change of classes in LARTS – here are the photos of my set-up before we got bombarded (at one point we had a line):
