We are pleased to announce that the University has received all necessary governmental approvals to move forward with the pay increases that were negotiated in the one-year contract extension that is effective July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024.

Salary Increases

This contract extension includes economic parameters which include a 4% salary increase effective with the start of the first full pay period in July, 2023 (i.e. July 2, 2023), and an additional 4% increase effective with the start of the first full pay period in January of 2024 (i.e. January 14, 2024) subject to eligibility criteria outlined in the union agreements. Each bargaining unit also has access to some additional funds that will be distributed according to its agreement.

Consistent with past practice at the university, non-unit professional and classified employees will also receive a 4% salary increase effective July 2, 2023 and an additional 4% increase effective January 14, 2024, subject to eligibility criteria as outlined in the Non-Unit Guidelines.

Timing of Increases

Salaries will be adjusted to reflect the 4% increase that is effective July 2, 2023, in the December 22 paycheck. Although retroactive pay is usually not disbursed until the following paycheck, we are delighted to share that we have worked hard to finalize the necessary calculations so that employees will also receive their retroactive pay in the December 22 paycheck.

Salaries will again be adjusted to reflect the 4% increase that is effective January 14, 2024 in the February 2 paycheck.

We appreciate your patience as we navigate this complex process.  In the meantime, the one-year extension agreements are available so you can learn more about eligibility criteria and service requirements.
